You would like to steer a motorboat with a power of more than 4.4 kW, no matter if electric or petrol engine drive?

To do this, you need a so-called “shipmaster’s license “, which is often colloquially called “sport boat license”. Our family business has been training skippers for many years.

10 m ship length

Boatmaster’s license for lakes and rivers for a boat length of maximum 10 m, for private use.



20 m ship length

Boatmaster’s license for lakes and rivers for a boat length of maximum 20 m, for private use.



Captain patent

You would like to transport people commercially?
Then you need a captain’s license for rivers and lakes.

The skipper’s license is valid worldwide on inland waters and is not limited to Austria.
The course can be scheduled flexibly and lasts approximately 2 weeks. Appointments are arranged individually.

Course schedule
for the motorboat license

The theoretical training takes place in the form of a 2-hour professional discussion in person. In addition, you will receive a script with all relevant information.

You will complete the practical run on a motorboat on lake Wolfgangsee, surrounded by the impressive scenery of the Salzkammergut.

The Super Sport Nautique 210 with a length of 6.40 m and a width of 2.49 m is available for your practice trip. With a draught of 0.71 meters and a load capacity of 0.68 tons, she can carry a maximum of 9 passengers.

The corresponding examination is taken by the regional government of Salzburg. We will take care of all the formalities for you. Registration is possible until 14 days before the exam date.


